The team at Smile Innovations Dental Lab brings together decades of experience across implant dentistry, CAD design, CAD/CAM manufacturing, ceramics, clinical support, operations, and digital workflow development. From leadership and protocol development to design, production, and case support, our team is built on hands-on knowledge, technical precision, and a shared commitment to quality. We come from different backgrounds, but we are united by the same goal: creating restorations and results that support confident smiles, strong clinical outcomes, and trusted partnerships with the practices we serve.

Brian Miller

Founder/ CEO

Brian Miller is the Founder and CEO of Smile Innovations Dental Lab, with 24 years of experience in the implant industry. A University of Florida graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science, Brian has held leadership and sales roles with major industry names including Straumann, Zimmer, and BioHorizons. He was recognized as Straumann Group’s #1 Sales Representative in 2018 and Regional Manager of the Year in 2020.

His deep industry knowledge, relationships, and firsthand experience have helped shape Smile Innovations Dental Lab into a company focused on precision, partnership, and forward-thinking solutions for clinicians.

Originally from Gainesville, Florida, Brian has lived in St. Augustine Beach since 2000. He and his wife, Laura, have an 8-year-old daughter. Outside of work, Brian enjoys surfing, snowboarding, working out, and beach bike rides.

Josh Claxton

Chief Technology Officer

Josh Claxton is the Chief Technology Officer at Smile Innovations, bringing 13 years of experience in the dental lab field. He began his career in 2013 in a lab in Western North Carolina and has built his professional background through hands-on experience during one of the industry’s biggest shifts—from traditional analog workflows to advanced digital design and manufacturing. Over the years, Josh has developed deep knowledge in lab technology, workflow optimization, protocol development, and research and development, helping drive innovation and efficiency within the lab setting.

At Smile Innovations, Josh’s focus is on refining systems, developing strong protocols, and advancing digital processes that support consistent, high-quality results. His passion for research and development continues to shape the technology-driven approach behind the lab’s work.

Outside of work, Josh enjoys soccer, video games, Dungeons & Dragons, and Magic: The Gathering. He is the youngest of three brothers and grew up in a home full of animals.

Maria Bizzarro

Operations Manager

CAD Designer

Maria Bizzarro is the Operations Manager and CAD Designer at Smile Innovations, with seven years of experience in dentistry, including two years as a surgical assistant and five years as a designer. She holds an A.A. in Psychology, is certified as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and in radiology, and is currently completing her B.S. in Microbiology and Cell Science at the University of Florida. She has also continued her education through dental conference CE courses.

Originally from Daytona Beach, Maria recently moved to Jacksonville. She comes from a big Italian family and is the youngest of four sisters. Outside of work, she enjoys music, traveling to festivals, comedy shows, PC gaming, and spending time with her boyfriend, Nic, along with her French bulldog, Lilo, and cat, Chester.

Chelsea Pramik

Clinical Specialist

Chelsea Pramik is a Clinical Specialist at Smile Innovations with 20 years of experience in the dental field. Originally from Alliance, Ohio, Chelsea has grown her career through a genuine passion for learning every side of dentistry. Starting chairside, she developed a strong foundation in patient care and clinical support, and over time became increasingly interested in the design and functionality side of the field. That curiosity and drive to keep growing have helped shape her well-rounded perspective and the value she brings to the team.

Outside of work, Chelsea enjoys spending time at the beach, reading, and doing just about anything outdoors. She is the proud mom of her 12-year-old daughter, Norah, and also has a dog named Tootie.

Mauricio Figueiredo

Dental Technician and Ceramist

Mauricio Figueiredo is a Dental Technician and Ceramist at Smile Innovations Dental Lab with 10 years of experience in the field. With a background that includes high school education and professional certification, Mauricio has built his career through hands-on experience, technical precision, and a strong eye for esthetics. His work as a ceramist centers on creating restorations that are both functional and natural-looking, helping deliver beautiful smile outcomes for patients.

Originally from Virginópolis, Minas Gerais, Brazil, Mauricio brings both craftsmanship and artistry to his role. He enjoys being part of the process of creating smiles that can make a real difference in someone’s confidence and quality of life. Outside of work, he enjoys beach volleyball and working out. A fun fact about Mauricio is that he speaks three languages: Portuguese, Spanish, and English.

Joseph Donnelly

CAD/ CAM Manufacturing

Joseph Donnelly works in CAD/CAM Manufacturing at Smile Innovations Dental Lab and brings eight years of experience in the dental lab field, including seven years with NDX. He earned his Bachelor of Liberal Arts in History from the University of Pittsburgh and has built his professional background through years of hands-on experience in digital manufacturing, production workflows, and quality-driven lab operations.

With a strong focus on precision and consistency, Joseph has spent his career working in environments where craftsmanship, efficiency, and high standards matter. His experience in CAD/CAM manufacturing has given him a deep understanding of the technical side of dental lab production and the importance of delivering reliable, high-quality results for every case. At Smile Innovations, he values being part of a close-knit team where collaboration is strong and the quality of the final product is always the top priority.

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Joseph is a proud Yinzer who loves Penguins hockey and Steelers football. Outside of work, he also enjoys reading both fiction and nonfiction, acrylic painting—especially simple landscapes—and is a passionate Lord of the Rings fan who considers himself an amateur Tolkien scholar.
